The Von Arx 23B is a pistol-grip pneumatic needle scaler sitting in the middle of the Von Arx range, delivering a powerful balance of performance, versatility, and ease of use across a wide range of surface preparation applications. Fitted with 19 sharp 3mm needles and a round header, the 23B rapidly removes rust, weld slag, paint, grease, scale, and coatings from steel, concrete, and stone surfaces — making it ideal for the shipping industry, mining, civil construction, pressure vessels, manufacturing, and general industrial maintenance. Available through APG Australia, it is supplied complete with a 3/8" connection, allen key, molykote, oil, earplugs, and optional dust collection connection, all packed in a heavy duty protective case ready for the job.

This efficiency makes it a practical everyday tool for both workshop environments and remote on-site applications, keeping running costs low while delivering consistent, high-frequency needle impact performance at 3,800 blows per minute.

The 23B is supplied as standard with 19 sharp 3mm needles, with optional configurations available in 2mm (51 needles) for finer surface work and 4mm (10 needles) for heavier duty applications. The flexible needle design adapts effortlessly to uneven surfaces, contours, and projections across steel, stone, and concrete — and the tool can also be easily converted to a chisel hammer, adding even more versatility to an already capable machine.
